Intent: At School Lane Nursery our curriculum is designed to help children to make good progress and equip them with life skills that they will need for future learning. We value every child as an individual and always plan fun, interesting activities that will extend their own real-world experiences.

Implementation: Our team plan our continuous provision to ensure that all seven areas of the early years foundation stage learning development requirements are catered for. Positive interactions with key workers and partnership with families allow us to identify a child's starting point and prior experiences. Therefore, practitioners take the time to get to know children. They will also make careful observations  and have high quality interactions with your child to aid them in identifying your child's  next steps in each of the seven areas of learning.  Following the initial assessment, we will then plan focus activities that will build on upon your child's prior knowledge and extend their skills.

Impact: The curriculum provides a basis from which all children can succeed and allows them to make good progress across all areas of learning. Children are given access to well-planned activities and experiences that expand their knowledge and cultural capital, leading to successful transitions into their new school setting.
